Picked it up of ebay from Speed Daddy for $115. Exhaust setup is SD headers, catless DP, cherrybomb glasspack as reso, 2 1/4" e-cutout, to stock muffs with dual 3.5" tips. I'm extremely satisfied with this setup. I had originally purchased a 2.5" exhaust kit from mandrelexhaust.com but could not decide on what muffler/reso combo to use in it. The car sounded fine to me at WOT and HWY cruise the way it was but I also really like the sound of catless DP with loudmouth muffler at idle. I knew that setup at WOT would sound like ass as it will with the cutout open but it sounds SICK at idle!!!. Took me about 2 hour to get it buttoned up. Below are a few pics and I get some vids up tomorrow afternoon.

It is just a way to run open (or bypass) exhaust when you want. It opens and closes with a switch in the car. Not sure how much this helps since back pressure seems to make my cars run better.

I have a cutout on the turbo car, helps a ton with spool. When I run my highest boost setting (25 psi) the cutout must be open or itll knock every now and again.

Yep just a way to have a little fun and annoy people from time to time. Also its was a way for me to get a nice deep sound at idle with my tiny VS cam. You'll cringe if you ever here it at WOT. It sounds horrible. But at idle its pretty much pure sex IMO :-) I'll get a vid up after I get some errands done hopefully I can capture the sound right, but you never know on these phones nowadays.

Ya on a turbo car it sounds like pure sex with multiple partners ;-)

So do you have a switch mounted to accel pedal? So it only opens when your foot is off the gas? Does it open/close instantly?

Mine has a key fob to open and close it but most others have a switch.

Good lord does this this sound like shat under load. It's laughable tho. Sounds like car straight out of trailer park. Gonna be fun to pull up to someone and they will think my car is falling apart and runs like crap. It's really just making g me want a cam'd 5.3 when It sits at idle tho

LOL umm why did you put it way back there kind of defeats the purpose to cutout right before the mufflers...... cut out straight off downpipe or at the very least before the resonator!......... I don't get what your doing here.......

It not for performance purposes just fun and a different idle sound. I placed it there for clearance when I lower the car. I also did not want a catless open DP sound at idle. For the "purpose" I intend on using it for I'd say the placement, install, and result is just what I was trying to achieve. Well my booger weld job could be improved upon but I'll blame that on the $70 harbor freight welder ;-) Feel free to rain on my parade about that as well 98. Cant you just be happy a fellow member is having a good time with their w-body. I'll be sure to let you know when I do lower it on some eBay spring or maybe even just cut a coil or 2 off the stock sagging springs. You've always seem to post what member are doing wrong and call them out on shat. Maybe toss out a few more at a boys now and again.

You want a laugh? Check out MY harbor freight welds...

Yup, that's what I get with HF welder and all of my 32 minutes experience using it. Satisfaction of fixing my own exhaust though...priceless

Edit: that tampon ad on photobucket is beginning to make me question my own sexuality....

Lol gotta love the multitude of adjustment on them hey. High and low. I have to get something better. That's about what mine looked like. I grind the welds down and give them another pass. That seems to help.
