So my '06 Grand Prix GT started flashing all of these today. I hooked up my scanner and the three codes that came up are C0550, C0450 and C0898. Has anyone experienced this and have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

Could be a bad wheel bearing, or the EBCM. Clean/check all the connectors at the hubs, clear the codes and see if it comes back. If it does then you need to have the EBCM rebuilt (the ABS control module).

C0550 is an internal malfunction in the ABS/traction control module

C0450 Steering Assist Control Solenoid/Motor/Actuator Circuit = EBCM

No, they are OBD codes. Should be universal.

When you open the forum you want to be in (i.e- General GP Discussion, Transmission, etc.) there is a button at the top left of that forum that says "Post New Thread". Once you click that you will be starting your own new thread in that forum.

In response to original question we had a right rear hub replaced on our 04 GP GT 5 years ago because bad sensor and steering was hard especially in parking lots. Last few years we would hit a bump in the road and trigger the same loss of the elec. traction control. However after parking and restart sometime later it would be back to normal and this ALWAYS happened in the summer, never in winter like you would expect with all the snow and ice on the roads causing uneven driving surface.
To this day it has probably been a year since this last happened and brakes and steering assist are normal.
So to me its like an on and off again harness issue, at least in our case. The first time was definitely a RR sensor issue.
