In a previous post I asked about seat replacement in my '03. Someone mentioned that seats from the later (last) generation ('04-'08) can be used. Is this correct? Are the seat frames the same? Has anyone actually done this?

    Thanks in advance

Tons of people do it. I want to do it as soon as I can find a good deal on the 04+ seats.

Everything is basically the same for the fronts, except for the wiring and the seat belt buckles. The backs are a little different, but that link^^^^will explain what you need to do. Nothing very hard.

That is correct, i had cloth seats from a 06, then got heated leather from a 2005, i already had heated leather seats when i got the car, so just a little wiring and i got a heated seat thats way better than the ones that came in the 97-03s. Passenger seat folds forward too for more room in the car.

There used to be a guy on here than was making a dual heated seat switch panel for 97-03s, but he quit for some reason. I ended up making my own, it wasn't all that hard.
