I've debated whether or not to post this, but it has gotten very annoying now. Ever since winter has ended, I can hear water move around in my spoiler if I open my trunk. If I leave the trunk open so the spoiler faces downwards, no water comes out. I'm clueless as to how it got in there in the first place and now it won't go away. Any ideas?

You can carefully unbolt and remove the spoiler (sometimes they are stuck bad or threads are corroded) then have a look underneath. If the problem isn't obvious at that point, you can clean it up and re-seal it. (RTV, attachment tape, butyl rubber caulk, or body seam sealer, or make gaskets. The spoiler might be cracked if water is getting inside it though. At least if you have it off you could make a drain hole at each end, hidden under the mounting surface. Just be sure to leave a way out for the water. Seal around each bolt hole so nothing leaks into the trunk.

^^^^^×2 I think there are 6 10mm bolts that hold it on along with the sealant. Mine came off really easy. It was filthy under it. Every spring i take it off as well as the rocker panels and get all the road grime and salt cleaned up.

Do you put sealant back on when you go to put the spoiler back on or just let the bolts hold it in place? I just don't want to take it off, make a mess with all the sealant, and make an even bigger mess trying to reseal it back on.
