If my build is vs cam 3.4 pulley full exhaust under drive pulleys tune and water/meth injection kit would it be safe to run diamond cut pistons with compression ratio of 9.5:1 I know stock is 8.5:1. Found a killer deal on some unused pistons but I'm afraid the compression on them might be to high sense I'm already upping the boost.

Should work. Some run the l32 block which is higher compression. I would go for it.

Don't think it'd be to high where I would blow something?

If your sticking with the supercharger forever, go high compression. If you ever plan to turbo, then dont.

Why would you want to tear the motor apart and have to pay for all that machine work just to run different pistons.

Screw the higher compression, lower compression boost motors is where it's at.

Save yourself the $1,000 and run the stock bottem end. Spend the money elsewhere.

Thats not the point, the second you remove the rod from the crank to get the piston out, that block must now be sent to the machine shop.

the hell with changing the compression ratio via different pistons. If you want more for less Id suggest mls gaskets minus a layer or 2. More can chime in on that but I know you can get compression up a little with that route.

Have the heads milled a little. I don't think you can get away with taking much off these heads.

Spin the blower harder. 3.4 should still have room to go below that.

Use a NA block, mls gaskets, milled heads, smaller pulley. ALL cost less than pistons and the work required for them.

Also fuel type can dictate this build a little too. Me personally I'd love to have a NA block mls gaskets milled heads and get compression up as high as I could on stock NA block then use E85 and some meth injection or nitrous if needed too. Im not a fan of intercoolers on these engines at all.

Now last thing to note is by the time you do all this or even get knee deep you could likely turdblow any 3800 and make more HP for less all said and done.
Ive never seen anyone do a Non-IC turbo E85 setup. Which baffles me. No intercooler or plumbing would cut some of the cost.
How I treat my car: wreck, fix, repeat.

It is not. You are far better off getting a na motor and top swap it.
