I'm having a strange issue with my 2005 grand prix gtp comp g. it only happens in really cold below freezing temperatures. There's like a delay in shifting. After it's warmed up it goes away once I restart the car.Is this normal?

My car did the same thing when I had a front mount Hayden Trans cooler and I bypassed the radiator. The problem was fixed when I rerouted the lines to include the radiator in my trans cooling system.

See if you can borrow a scan tool and monitor trans temp. Also how many miles on the car? When was the last trans service? How does the trans fluid look?
