Tcm stopped communicating, corroded wire at the harness. Any body know where to get a good one for a 05 gxp?

so yet another odd random issue. 19-20# of boost apparently is too much for valve cover gaskets. blew out the rear one by the egr block off on the corner of the head. i think i need a breather on the front valve cover.

    here kitty kitty......

the flange side was 100% the same size as the cat. so i butted up the two pipes and band clamped it. the front side if the cat pushed up to far it starts to get loose. so that side got rtv and then the clamp slapped on there, amazingly, it dont leak one bit lol it will be welded up soon enough. this is good enough for inspection.

and ive been getting much better mpg lately. this is local pretty much too. but its been doing more then one short drive. more like many short drives.

and the big news is, when i took my ebcm out to check its part #, unplugging it and back on must have cleaned the connections. it failed one time at the self test mid day. the other 30 re starts i did the self test passed.

far cry from yesterday where it passed the first time in the morning, then failed every other time after that. im calling this a win!

Took the Z71 on post and balanced all 4 tires for $23.

The DIY shop on post is my favorite, cause I do all the work, with their tools and know it's done right.

Got my ebcm back in today. Installed it good to go.. Sure feels nice to have magnasteer working again. Was able to clear all codes but one still have a C0240 to investigate but I'm sure that's being triggered because of my LF bearing.

Noticed that the Regal likes to lean out in the top of 2nd no matter what I do now.. I think a walbro 255, rewire and a new fuel filter will be happening soon. Then I can finally get my injectors on and go corn fed.

Some dude was walking across the street not in a crosswalk and I was a good 4 feet from hitting the retard. Then he flipped me off so I returned the gesture. That's what you get.

Dumb is aiming at a pedestrian period. Jaywalking isn't an excuse to use your car in a manner that appears to make it a weapon. Have a little courtesy when someone is burning shoe leather instead of gas. In my area, there have been something like 10 pedestrians hit in a couple of months. It's out of control.

Went and hung out with Jeff for the evening. Confirmed the GTP has a bad lower end, eye'd the GXP and realized...he wasn't going to offer to let me drive it after we went out in the Regal. Yeah Scott.... I showed him what Regals can do. hahahahaha

Heard one comment along the lines of being abuse to the car. Nahhhhh

Yup cars dead it ate #5 cylinder spark plug tip. Its also pressurizing cylinder #6 on the opposite bank in the rear its blown out the vc gasket twice now on #6 cylinder. 19-20# of boost is too much apparently on E85 and stock heads without breathers or a catch can. No knock, I believe the E85 kept the knock away but the cylinder pressure was likely pretty high. Also after this engine went through 2 destroyed flex plates it likely was a ticking time bomb. I think after the 1st flex was destroyed I should have put a new dampner on and certainly after the 2nd one was wrecked I should have. Maybe that would have extended the life of the engine too.

(disclaimer out in Wash D.C when I had this car out there I didn't have any problems however I didn't reach triple digits nearly as often out there. Here at home in ND the interstates are nice and wide open and usually pretty empty so I run the car hard out on the interstate. I think the long runs at like 125 plus contributed to the death of the engine...... FML.)

Car will get ported heads, headstuds, and felpro head gaskets, along with breathers on the VC or a catch can setup once I get back from overseas. I leave on sunday so got a year to hoard more parts!......

Same around here. Problem is that most pedestrians have the mentality that they have the right of way, no matter what. They need to think ahead.....who is gonna win when a car and walker collide?

Woa who said aiming at a ped. Nah I doubt the ones who got hit, were hit because the driver wanted to hit them. I was simply tired of beeping to scare them off, who knows maybe what i do will keep them from jaywalking further. I've seen cops do worse. I got a dash cam, I'll show you my worst when I get home from work. I got people walking in the street when pitch black dark, walking a kid and another in a stroller.... List goes on.
