The pile of dust is still worth money though lol.

I may fit that description but I tried one in that black. Its bunk and has VERY little paint inside. Stick with spraying rattle can into the lid then dipping with paint brush, the pen is a joke.
Haven't got out and about much today but did make grocery and parts store run in the loud one. Rolled X16,000 miles up but the odo is irrelevant. Found myself at a light with a GTP and Solstice. The Solstice suddenly just ran the red light and hauled ass. A guy said "Pretty nice looking Grand Prix!" when I parked at the store. Yes he was twenty feet or more away. A cop tailed me across town. Found an open letter in the mail concerning my January wreck saying I'm still a liar and should still be sitting on a curb with a broke arm while the criminal runs loose. SO angry I could spit nails.
Got a trans go shift kit in today. I LOVE it.
I'll take that to heart. I actually have some black spray paint I bought when I was going to paint my GXP spoiler with it before I had my buddy paint it with a gun.
On that note I did the polishing compound, then the carnuba prewax cleaner, then synthetic wax to top it off. Today's work took me about 8 hours. I spent about 5 hours on it yesterday with the wash, clay, and rubbing compound.
Car looks good.... from 5 feet away. Front bumper cover looks almost sandblasted. There are fvcking rock chips in my hood that was just painted and put on in late June. There are other rock chips, door dings, and scratches that weren't there before. I am a little frustrated, but figure, hey the car has 177k miles. Not many look even close to as decent as mine does at that mileage.
Tomorrow I plan on doing a final wash to get any residue I may have missed and make sure any splatter I did is cleaned up. Might have to get some Back to Black for where I hit the black plastic trim on the bumper covers.
I drove my g6 to work today. Long day, 14 hour day today. Got to love busy holiday weekends.
Tuesday i plan on debadging the whole gp, then cleaning it up and making it look nice. Spray paint the roof rails dark blue like my car, then put those on. I may paint my calipers red while i am at it, if everything goes good and according to plan.
Woohoo, Sunroof is now controlled by the alarm as well. I hold 2 buttons on the remote for 3 seconds and the sunroof cracks itself, hold them again and it'll open the rest of the way. Whenever I hit lock, the sunroof closes. I also hardwired the one touch (close) module so the sunroof opens and closes alot faster when the car is running, along with the fact I can close it after the car is off and open the door. Before if I opened the door while it was closing it would stop.
Video:
I bought fog light bulbs off of amazon and installed them. Just like advertised they are white lights instead of the crappy orangish yellow my stock ones were and they are really bright. Got the for a great price too

I did the finish up wash this morning to get rid of any residue I had missed.
I got all that for $23.
I have been debating back and forth and think I am now NOT DONE with the detailing. I still have some black wax leftover from the Turtle Wax Black Box. I think I am going to apply a layer of it over the synthetic wax I put down. Thinking I may just do it by hand. I'm hoping the black wax will "fill in" some of the scratches and smaller chips that all the detailing decided to show. I know it can't make it worse and from my own research carnuba over a synthetic seems to work well.
I changed the spark plugs and replaced them with copper core AL605. The car has 135k miles with 3 previous owners that didnt give 2 sh17s about any maintenance, so I took off the stock spark plugs basically. The front ones took me about 10-15 min. The back ones took me about 5 hours, after trying by hand, after running around town buying spark plug wire removal tool and braking it because that's how hard they were to get off, giving up and going back at it, giving up again then saying fvck it and ripping the heck out of the back wires. I need new wires now off to the parts store tomorrow. I'm surprised the stock ones were still sparking for how they looked.
I never had to deal with something so difficult that should be so simple.
Almost hit 2 deer, glad I have new brakes or it would have been bad.
lol never plan to re use plug wires. they also go bad. wires are cheap, under 40 most of the time.
put some plug boot grease in the boots, then they will come off much easier down the road.
20 bucks for my wires form orlieys. Work fine
Washed car, clay barred car, compounded with my new GG buffer, Sealed wheels with poorboys world wheel sealant.... now for the polish, sealant and wax. Who knew detailing was so time consuming and tedious
laid some blackm parts on the engine. im really liking it it now.
then washed the b!tch, she was a a mess.
cars thinking, wtf is that? a new heart. but i still run damn it!!!
not bad for last years wax job still.
