My GTP's A/C compressor bit the dust Thursday. I think."Smoke" through dash vents and under the hood, and rancid burnt smell. So I had Dad bring me the GT. But I drove the GTP the rest of the way home and will have a look probably today. Brought the compressor off the 02 L67 home in case that will help put it back on the road. Assuming the car will never have A/C again but hoping I can get it driveable.
Got roof rails, heat extractors, badges, and window regulator from salvage yard. Also managed to find the Explorer parts I needed. Great haul.
Sounds like a good JY score there. I rarely see roof rails anymore, and when I do one is usually messed up from someone trying to remove it incorrectly.
Crawled under the GT today to try and find that incessant clunk. Found the motor and trans mounts took some more turn on the hardware. Tightened everything that could be related incl. subframe mounts. Checked ball joints and found the pass. side had slop in it. Threw on a new arm/joint combo and gave it an oil change while under it.
First test drive seems to say I fixed it. Time will tell once I get it out on the road.
Took it for a drive to pick up my daughter and no more clunk!!! Thank god. Now I just have to have the alignment checked since I had to pull the strut bolts to get access to the ball joint nut.
Re-tinting my taillights and throwing some clear on a peeling rear bumper today. Left the can of clear in the sun as I went inside for something. Came back and it exploded at the bottom. Oops.
Finally change the rusted on fuel filter on the 03 GTP

I'm sure somewhere on the can it says- "Exposure to heat or prolonged exposure to sun may cause bursting. Do not expose to heat or store at temperatures above 120°F (48°C)." Good thing no one was around, lol.
markpa- what type of repair kit is that for the fuel line? I have a feeling mine will end up with the same result and I really don't want to run a new line all the way from the front if I can safely splice the existing line somewhere underneath.
Working on cleaning up the roof edge on the Bonne now that the windshield is finally out. Lot of rust on the vertical edge of the roof and 2 small holes. Gotta deal with that so I can get the new glass in it soon. At least I didn't find any rust where the A-pillars are welded to the roof. Those seams are actually nice and clean surprisingly.
Picked this up. The compression fitting nuts were junk and i broke one of the nuts tightening, but bought another fitting at home depot and used the nuts off of that.

Had to bend a couple of 60’s to make it work.
Pretty simple.

just did zzp stage 1 axles, new lower control arms, ZZP front (thing is a monster compared to the stock and definitely made a big difference in body roll) and rear sway bars, zzp trailing arms, belt wrap kit, poly motor mount. was a busy morning.
Found some leather seats from a 05.. someone beat me to the fronts. Picknpull had a 50% off deal so the seats put me back 25 bucks
Couldnt pass them up.
Also upgraded the 3rd brake light with LED while the seats were outhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...326276adef.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...87397609a8.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...929154da70.jpg

230,000 on the 03 GTP.
Changed oil and also changer supercharger oil.
Boy does used supercharger oil have a stink. 30,000 miles on that.

If it smells anything like used rear axle oil then yes I agree, lol. Don't get that stuff on your skin or it's hell to clean up.
Rolled 433K on the GT today. 383K on the motor and coming up on another oil change again soon. I swear it feels like I just changed it.
Been working on getting my 95 Bonne ready for a re-spray. I'm going to hate sanding anything once I'm done with this. I normally wouldn't put this much effort into redoing the body on a car that on paper isn't worth squat but she runs and drives great. I figure she doesn't owe me anything at this point so I'm going to give her a nice new paint job (courtesy of my Dad). I hope after all this prep it makes her black paint shine again. Bad part is I need a new windshield installed and then have it inspected before I can get it over to my parents house so Dad can paint it, and it's getting cooler. Kinda in a time crunch but pretty sure I can pull it off.
Crap man, that's only like 120 oil changes! No friggin wonder it feels like you just did it. You've changed your oil more times in one car that many Jiffy Lube techs have, ever.
Installed timing cover today. Only 5 bolts require sealant but I put it on all of them....and I don't know why. I can't help myself sometimes. :(
Not today but yesterweek I did new FE3 front Struts, Delco mounts(super nice) and all that rubber stuff.
Rear Bilsteins are still stiff.
I bought my second set of SSC springs to throw on front and back.
Those 6 year old (50K mile) SSCs were rusty asF*** and sagging more than my balls.
I like my newish ride again.
GTP should hit 275K miles this week. I screwed myself out of ever having car A/C though. It has a bypass pulley now and the compressor is destined to live out it's days precariously fastened to the frame.
Damn. Thats why I don't post here. Forum requires logging in again to type each sentence and theres still no way I can post or even link a pic. FTS!
Use tapatalk. I can add giphs and whatever I want

I just don't want tapatalk. If I use Chrome it all probably works. Pics all go on blog in sig anyway.
Did just roll past 275K on my 99 GTP on a burger run though. Woohoo! Every mile is a gift.
Srsly starting to wish I had the time and money to send my struts off the Bilstein for a reman. And maybe re-powder coat the CCS springs. My ride quality has taken a nose dive over the last couple of years.
Oh well.
