I had one of those that broke as I was doing the exact same thing you have pictured there...
Yes, it was a cheap one, but I kinda wanted it to do at least something before complete failure.

the trick with using a puller on wiper arms is, clamp it on snug. then hit the drive bolt of the puller with a hammer. a few med hits will pop it free. if it dont come free after a few hits, turn the clamp a few more turns, it will turn more freely after the hits, then repeat the hits once snugged up.
keep a firm hold on the puller, you dont want it to fall and maybe hit the windshield after it pops free.
i picked up my car from the shop, had new fuel and brake lines installed.

I got a 3" down pipe swapped in. It gained me 1 mpg on first tank of fuel and a few degrees less or climbing hills. Can't feel it leaking but I can hear it when under some pressure while driving. My abs is acting crazy, just put new wheel bearings in in December. Buzzes when turning at slow speed and occasionally turns on abs light.

buzzing and pedal pulsing at slow speeds like parking, is the ebcm going bad.
Well I hope this $9.99 tool holds up. LOL
This is the procedure I have in my head. Better work! LOL
I had the same symptoms, and replacing the ABS harness at the wheel bearing with a Dorman one fixed it.
something inside the ebcm breaks free. that needs precision soldering iirc
if the harness is busted. you can see the damage most of the time, thats best to solder and shrink tube.
So somehow, at some point, the two ears that hold the front bushing for the front control arms spread apart slightly, and I finally found the weird front-end clunk that has been bothering me for so long... Now I just need to tighten up everything that has come loose over the winter, pressure wash the ever living F*CK out of the underside of the car, and find all the little leaks.
Then get to fixing all of those, and all the other little things that pop up.
Pulled the wipers and cowl off one more time. The wiper linkage popped off again; turns out it need one more "click" to lock into place.
And to confirm, the 2 jaw battery post removal tool worked like a hot damn, as well as a 3/32" drill bit to hold the wiper arm in the "up" position. Made the process enjoyable for a change. LOL
Washed the GT today, been like a year. Also glued the mirror button back on and replaced the battery.
Finally finished cleaning up my GT tonight. Noticed the clear is really trying to go now but I guess after spending most of it's 18 yrs. outside it's to be expected. Spent 3 hrs. on the decklid/SLP spoiler alone to buff it out by hand since I haven't bought a good buffer yet. Turned out pretty good. Then of course once I did that the roof looked like junk so I did that too, along with the rest of the horizontal surfaces. Now it's all been polished and waxed. Vacuumed it out and wiped down the doors/sills too. Been doing all this over the course of 2 days now so hopefully it'll look good once I take it out into the sunlight. There is still some hazing on the roof area over the doors that I just noticed but it's slight and my shoulder has had enough. Also polished all of the hard water stains out of the glass and gave all of the glass some Rain-X. Might snag some pics while it's this clean since it hasn't been this clean in a while.
I checked the oil.
It's still there.
Replaced the right front ABS plug/harness, and replaced the noisy snow tires with the quiet summer tires.....

I replaced both abs harness ends, soldered and used marine grade shrink tube. Problem solved.
Fixed a squeaky rear caliper... Turns out half of the anti-squeal clip thingy had snapped off of one side. New clips and it's fixed.
Unplugged the coolant level sensor. Got tired of it flashing at me when the coolant is full.
Tightened the nut on the passenger windshield wiper arm. Works again! Not sure for how long.

Let it sit in the garage still since it was going to storm today and I've managed to keep it clean for over a week, lol. A small feat since all the pollen is still floating around here. Probably going to put some more conditioner on the GXP seats tomorrow.
