I wanted to do the hardline route with factory type stuff but its just quicker and easier the way I did it. My cooler isn't set up for hardlines. The brackets are homemade out of angle that I hammered flat drilled and trimmed.

Truck is back in action. Talk about a difference with this VB. My only remote complaint is when I get up to 40-45 MPH it'll somewhat clunk into 4th, almost like it's expecting me to go faster and I don't. Kinda like when you gun it only to see a cop and have to let off RIGHT before the shift...but not that bad. I have a message into the guy who built the VB, but I'm not overly worried about it, I can live with it and\or drive in D instead of OD. Only so much can be done with a non-electronic transmission anyways. I took her on a cruise and got her up to 70 MPH and all those shifts were GREAT. Definitely not winning any races, but go fast stuff is later...as fast as a long bed brick nose can go, I guess, lol.

Just rotated the tires and put air in them all, 40psi to be exact. When I got them installed 4 months ago, they only put 30psi in.

That's because the door says 30psi. Always up to the owners on what pressure they want to run afterwards.

Heck some standard car tires now have max psi ratings of only 40psi.

    I personally wouldn't run 40 psi. I generally run 35 psi.

I have tunes in the truck again, yay. Vintage (1990s) amp for the Type-R components, Kenwood Exelon HU, and a Pioneer 800w amp for the 10 inch kicker. Nothing crazy, but it sounds awesome in that single cab. Don't get me wrong, I love my GTP, but this truck will always have a special place in my heart. Cruising around in it brings back a lot of memories. Cool story is my daughter has literally never seen this truck run, let alone move. She went for a ride in it the other day and kept squealing and going on about how awesome it is. I stumbled across some old pictures of her from back in the day. Here's one from 1991, one of my first road trips in it, I was 6. We went to Oregon.

sweet camper. as a kid we had trucks always, and of course, a camper for them to haul around. we went cross country in one that was some what larger, had a good 4 foot off the back of the truck, and a queen size bed over the cab. i'd need to dig deep into real pictures to find them pics lol

These tires say 44psi max on the sidewall. I've always gotten better mpg, rollout, and overall tire mileage with a higher psi.

That's how this one was, a bed over the cab, and the table dropped down to create another bed. Had a fridge, bathroom, sink, stove, all the fun stuff. Not really that bad for a late 80s camper in the back of a truck. Also found this pic. Kinda funny, he looked this way for over 20 years, haha.

My dad had a 64 C10 for many years. In 89 when he was changing duty stations he got a camper shell that fit it, put a slider window in, and we put a foam mattress is the back for a cross country trip from Nevada to Pennsylvania. Even had our 87 Bronco II on a dolly behind it.

Fun story went to les schwab for an alignment... really jut wanted them to tell me what was wrong

Run to autozone to pick up my lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends cause screw that $500 estimate...

On my way home I stop at a clear spot in the road with new pavement so I can round my tires off (bought a set mounted from a guy that had.. chew marks? and created a small flat spot.), had schwabbies put them on anyway cause the other ones had a little belt showing and I don't care about these tires... cost me 5 bucks a piece mounted. Anyway, go to lay into the throttle and burn off a mm or two of tred and ole betty chugs on my.

look down and she's got the *temp* light on... boy is that thing small and i'm thinking ****....

Previous owner had mixed green and orange coolant so i knew the system was gunky and needed Another flush after the first one. pull over, rad full, overflow fill but the block behind the t stat is like empty... t stat open all the way even with just air... gotta be a clog somewhere. Just to get it home I filled the block from the t stat housing with lake water and later water from a spicket I found. (country roads yay), whole way home coolant is flowing fine, no leaks and normal temps....

I'll flush it with an actual flushing machine tomorrow... first time I just used a garden hose.

    yay for adventures.

Found a K&N complete CAI in the you pull it for $12!!! #junkyardmods I was looking for parts for my Jeep and spotted a lone GTP and popped the hood. I was impressed with the over engineering, PCM holders, etc... I'm glad someone else paid $300+ and not me.

Protip: Bring a jump box to be able to move the seats forward, and if if you have, cordless impact. The rear seat bolts were practically welded on. Great mod that updated the look of my junk.
