I picked up a 05 Grand Cherokee 5.7 Hemi for free from my neighbors. I expressed interest in the car a couple years ago and their son took the moms car. They said the car needs a radiator, and I know you like working on cars, it's yours. Free Hemi Friday. Needs random stuff, egr valve, map sensor, radiator. I see SRT8 front bumper and side skirts in the future. Luckily, These have been popping up in yards.

I also installed the roof rails on the GTP.

Very nice neighbors and nice wheels.
    Hows the body and miles?

How long does it take to change 16 spark plugs?

It's got 180k on it. I'm hoping the hemi is as resilient as my LS1 and L67. Some of the maintenance looks less than fun. Chrysler redesigned the map sensor so you have to cut tabs of intake manifold. Egr valve requires loosening alternator and taking belt of for extra room. YouTube and jeep forums have been a blessing. Now I have two vehicles to scout parts at you pull.

Where did you get the roof rails for the GTP? They look really good on there. How hard was it to put them on? Did/will you do a tutorial on them?

I put new tires on my GTP yesterday and I swapped the front bumper cover from a 01 GT today.

Roof rails I picked up off eBay for $100. The install is beyond easy. You pull the old rain channels off, clean them out and attach new roof rails with 3m tape. 2 minute job tops.

Just got done trying to fix the A/C in the 00GT again. Hopefully this time it works. Pressures look good and I got 47* air from the farthest air vent at idle with 87* outside temp and ~60% humidity. So far so good! Hopefully it holds since I've replaced everything now except the evap coil and the lines on the compressor. Been fighting this system for a while now. If this doesn't hold I'm taking it to my old A/C shop and letting them figure it out. I'm done F'in with it at this point.

I just charged mine for the first time after doing the compressor last year. It's the first time I've had AC since owning the car.

Had to check out Google photos for getting pics on here.

Anyway this is my spray booth for the once red powder coated Power Stop Imp brackets.
Dupli-color black caliper paint was used.

Dropped a new O'Reillys battery in yesterday, right in the parking lot... lol

I think it's their SuperStart Extreme, 800 CCA, some other numbers I don't really remember, and I paid $135 for it and all the hardware, because warranty and side terminals are moar betterer. (without the discount and core return, it would have been ~$175)(Alaska prices suck)

And yes, I did just figure out yesterday that group 34 and group 78 batteries are the exact same size, just different terminals.

I am somehow getting 19.7mpg. I'm driving from a full tank of gas so I'll drive till it's nearly empty then do the maths.

Wellllll this is embarrassing.....I've just realized that I'm running the basic TEP In-line Tans Cooler as a standalone unit. Which explains much. So I'll either be ordering a new radiator or ordering the Max 2 unit from TEP. Waiting to hear back from TEP before I do anything. -_-

Just swapped out the front and rear bumper covers on my 00 GT with some jy ones that are a perfect color match. Went ahead and installed my mesh grills in the front while it was out. Car looks so much better now without the missing clear and faded bumpers. Even gave it a wash. Now I just need to figure out why my HID fogs keep killing the fuse. Think I have a ballast that is bad.

Morimoto? Thats what happened when my 5five DSP ballasts went bad. Well really it took 3 of them before using Densos, then switching to XB55 a year later.

The XB35 Morimotos are worth the money. I think they have a 4th sale now

I'll have to check them out. Can't swing the 4th sale right now due to getting my mower back to running condition ($150 later). Going to try and find a way to test the ballast to see if it's the problem. Gotta be the bulb or ballast and the bulb looked ok when I pulled it.

Worst case I'll swap in my set of Diamond fogs that I have sitting here in the box. Was kinda hoping to use those later on but it may be time to switch them out if I can't get a reasonable fix.

Every shift omw to work this morning was bad. I know I've a bad front wheel bearing but idk if it's bad enough to cause this.

took mom to the Dr's to get the old pipe this morning, so i had time to wash the car and wipe down the inside, the dust was getting thick on the dash for sure lol

then i got some time to play body shop guy, loosely.....bent the hood back some. still ugly as hell but f it.

    little better.

got stuck putting a pto clutch back on a mower this after noon, i get it all together, and i see the way the wire is routed, this is how it was before, and i dont like it at all. looks like the tensioner pulley is rubbing the wire.

so cause im that guy i go look good at the old one and find the wires rubbed through. bingo, its still good after testing it. just need its wires repaired. thats cool, but that damn tensioner had to come off again, a new pig tail i had was put on to make the wires longer as so i could re route the wires in a safer manner.

yes theres a hole in the deck a top that pulley, how f ing dumb. see them two other holes on the left side? its now routed though then, has a droop loop in it to clear the belt, but its in the clear now.
