I have a clip somewhere of two cars driving next to each other for a solid 5 miles on a 2 Lane freeway. Huge pile of traffic built up from that. Road rage and an accident waiting to happen.

Ordered the parts to fix my LIM leak. I'm at 170k with the original plastic gaskets still in it.

Replaced right front wheel bearing; now more growl. YAY!

Replaced left front ABS wiring harness; ABD and TRAC lights are out. YAY!

Replaced front speakers with some 5.25" AVI's I bought years ago. Don't notice much of a difference. YAY!

I shoulda had a stop watch going when I did a bearing on my sisters grand prix yesturday, if it took me 15 minutes I'd be surprised.

    Impact tools FTW.

Used Advanced auto 30% off code "TRT30" + $20 rewards points. Got some gauges + ZZP HUD pod. I used the tutorial to tap into the dimming circuit from the headlight switch for the lighting. Then I used an add a fuse to power for the oil pressure gauge. Police package LCA's and moog problem solver bushings are next up.

Does that include jacking up the car? Removing the tire? Takes me just shy of an hour round trip, and that includes sipping on a beer and watching some wildlife in the back yard. My Craftsman impact makes life a lot easier.

I'd like to say the cop is advising buddy to move the Jeep back to get some weight off the tongue. Pretty sure I'm wrong. LOL

That's like the wheel off, caliper/rotor and bearing off, so add like 5 minutes for the getting the jack and sticking one jack stand under the front end. I knew what size sockets I needed already so it was easy, 19mm, 15mm, 13mm and the 35mm axle nut socket.

I take the caliper off as a whole piece to save me tons of time.

Did oil change, spark plugs, coolant flush, and a few other small things on my buddies 06 Kia Optima, thing hasn't run in over a year and all we did was charge the old battery and it fired up no problem.

    At least it's dependable. lol

It needs the trans serviced, but I still haven't found the spin-on filter location... I haven't googled it yet, but one would think it would be at least visible and identifiable from the engine compartment. Plus the pan is literally on the front on the trans, not the bottom. The fluid isn't burnt smelling, and it's not terribly dirty, but it's got 120k and it hasn't been touched

    Import cars are weird.

Then I got back to the company building and our supply NCO's 07 Impala had overheated that morning, turns out the inner t-stat gasket had folded in on itself and was holding the t-stat closed. That thing is such a pain in the ass to get to... But she was overjoyed that I fixed her car in less than 30 minutes, and it only cost ~$30 for the bottle of coolant and the new t-stat, vs $100+ for a shop to do it.

I'm still on the fence as to whether I like being the "company mechanic"

Haha nice. I enjoy mine being lit as well. My 06 has a small circle reflector in that spot, there appears to be no way to light that one.

I just finished wiring them up. Glad to have them done, seeing as how I started tinkering on these 3 years ago. The one thing that I suspect will bother my OCD, is how the LED creates a "cross" in the lens. Hopefully I'll just stop staring at them after a few days and my mind can move on to more relevant things. LOL

Yeah you will forget about that pretty quick. Mine has 3 chips lighting it, you can tell, but it's pretty well refracted.

I hope you did puddle lights in the mirrors while you were there?

Ok.. better sit down and buckle up for this news. I called the Audi dealership and made an appointment for today. It needs a thermostat/waterpump and I don't have the time. Just need it done. They diagnosed it and while I thought wp was fine, they suggested it and I've read enough issues on it. I'm looking at the positive side of it...points/cashback on the credit card I'll use to pay for it.
