Cute little K20a
He would not say what the mods cost, just that it was "Pricey". Header, cams, tune. Pfft coulda had a V8.
Says he has some 2.4L engine also. IDK about rice at all but he wasn't able to pass me with it. He just started catching up and might have walked off had we kept on. The GTP was stone cold at the time, A/C was on, I didn't punch it until I heard his bumblebee ass missing 2nd and 3rd. But it seemed faster and he told everyone he stomped a GTP and his peeps said "So? GTPS are slow." Yep. I told him I was impressed. He shifts at 8,800.
2.4 is probably the K24. My cousin has a 7th gen Civic Si with the K24 that we plan on turbo turboing next summer. He already had a 250 whp 91 Civic hatch. Even low boost on the K24 will make his current Civic a street streetable animal.
I had the perfect rice race a few weeks ago.
Empty main road around midnight. Windows down , sitting at light
car pulls up behind me not next to me. It's a newer civic. Loud exhaust Probably hears my car loping
when I pull away at green light , he floors it and goes around me. Catches me gaurd but I heard a turbo blow off
stomped it and reeled him fast and put the hurt on
next light all he said was my supercharger was deafening (his windows were down too lol)
Rice boy wants to race the purple car. Fat chance was my response. He didn't even race the black one yet. Dude is a menace to society when he gets behind the wheel. My junk is all slow and my interest is only with V8s. So I just don't get it. Thank goodness I don't have to touch rice daily anymore.
Got some goodies in the last few days... Lot's of goodies, not time to play with them though. SecondSkin Damplifier, Trunk Lifts, Cowl, and OEM actuator. The actuator cost $100 on Amazon! Crazy. RockAuto had one that was $118. It was real, REAL, OEM - I guess. The hell? Probably wont have a chance to install anything till Sunday. That Damplifier insulation is gonna take a long time, too. Can't wait to get started though.
Replacing bulbs in the HVAC module. Thought 1 was out, I pull the board out and test it. 3 were actually out. Put 3 new ones in, one more was out. Replaced 1 more, and another lol. Just gonna do them all. The vibration from me handling it is breaking the old weak filaments.
All set

^ this is exactly what I was trying to explain to a buddy. Just handling the original bulbs was breaking the filaments
I had to prove it by smacking his stock radio and watch the lights go out one by one lmao (before we installed the aftermarket unit of course)
Yeah I did that a few times before today lol. Hitting it would make them come back on too.
Turn signal did that for a few weeks till I changed it. It would flash fast, and I would go out and smack it till it flashed normally lol.

The ol' technical tap
Realized I need new wipers, the streaking was very apparent this morning...
It's been a few years since they were changed, what does everyone usually go with in the winter? If it helps, I tend to get A LOT of solid ice on the windshield for a good 7-8 months straight up here. Lol
I used 95ma mini lamps from eBay. Almost the same size and ever so slightly dimmer
And yes they are soldered. And taking apart the HVAC unit is risky. The temp slide knobs were stuck on.

I have been using the Piaa Si-Tech's for the past 2-3 years. Great wiper for around here. Should do good at keeping the ice out as they are frameless.

Good to know. Thanks Blue.
I'm also replacing a bulb in my passenger door lock switch lol. That ones easier, and I ordered the same bulb in red.
It's different for sure, might have to do all of them so they match brightness.
