But then I would have to sell here for $450 lmao ;)
shipping for a top swap is a easy $140 just a pair of heads was a 100 bucks, add a blower, TB, sensors, fuel rail, lim, balancer, pulleys coil bracket tensioner and such. adds up fast by weight.
I can't make any promises. Stars and planets have to align for me to be home before 3pm and have a car with the gen5 bolted on it in the yard.
I will
however maybe start scouting them again in the near future like early spring
Moms car is acting up again, she said in the mornings when cold after a few min of driving the tach jumps around 1-2k rpm. Had a new advanced branded ICM almost a year ago, new plugs and wires about 4 or so months ago. She said its been really wet and damp wonder if its the plug wires or something. Shall be fun to figure out. She thinks its the trans, seems like a missfire to me. I'll send her home with torque and see if she can catch it.
Pretty sure I warped my front right rotor maybe my left one too. Put the brakes through some paces yesterday. And at one point I think my abs locked up or something because I tried stepping on my brakes all i got was the abs vibration in the pedal and could not push it down tried pumping it still nothing ended up running through a stop sign at 40mph thank God no one was around and i didn't hurt any one had put it in neutral turn car off and restart then had brakes

dry or wet pavement?
when wet out and abs kicks in its the most helpless feeling in the world, pedal pulses under your foot, pedal turns mushy while pushing back up and vibrates like mad.
the only way to stop this is to let off the brakes 100% so all 4 wheels spin free for a second or 2, then get back on the brakes but not as hard as you did last time.
if its dry out doing this, your abs is fed up for sure.
a warped rotor you only feel while hitting the brakes. it wont keep the car from stopping its just an annoying vibration when light on the brakes most of the time.
Yes annoying vibration at light braking coming from front right and was dry pavement this is second or third time it has done it. I tried letting off a few sec and getting back on still abs bullsht

my stock brakes used to trip the abs when braking hard when dry time to time too. once i went to F bodys up front they just flat out stop now, not a hint of abs to be found if dry out.
It did it twice with stock I thought maybe with impala update it would fix it but it did it last night so hoping bad wire some where nothing more.

a scan with a abs code reader maybe a good idea if the abs light came on. it will store every last code its ever had unless cleared. pulling the battery dont even clear those codes.
if it has more than one code, clear em, see if any come back and scan it again at a later date.
Would a regular scanner pick up abs codes? And was to worried about stopping and not blowing through and hitting some one to see if the abs light came on. I'll hook the scanner up tonight I know I have check engine light on but that is my p0420 it comes on when I'm on this side Kansas then when I go back west it never comes on. I think it is either the air quality and humidity or something like that cause its in stop and go traffic it happens in

some newer cars will pick up abs codes from a normal code scanner. some will not. cant hurt to check it if the cel is on.
It more than likely depends on the scanner. The one my local Advance uses to check codes picked up where my ABS fault was when I had a broken wire, but I used others that didn't pick it up.
Just rolled over to 700 miles on the getrag swap, everythang good. Clutch is good and broken in, lovin it.
Definitely abs problem if I stop hard on dry pavement they like lock up on me and bad I was able to recreate it twice

Drove my blue GP today, realized I'm at 3,700 miles on this oil change. Whoops, didn't realize I was that far past 3k. I don't really drive it. It's got Mobil 1 full syn and a larger pureone filter. But all city miles and its been in there for over 6 months.

the ground was dry and the temps were warm, and the ic pump seems to be doing its job, so i got the last 4 bolts installed and the last 4 screws for the bumper. i'd left it hanging on by just the push clips till i was sure it was all working right.
also cleaned up the pump relay wires with some wire loom. looks much cleaner now.
