got the front 3 cylinders fitted with 130# springs on the turbo car. Dropped a keeper and spent a hour and a half looking for it. got that done. Rear happening tomorrow or wed.

I hate when that sh!t happens. We were swapping valves on my cousin's car. Had the keepers on a magnet on the bench when my uncle moved something and the magnet fell and one of the keepers flew off the magnet. It took us a good 30 minutes to find it.
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
i bought a powerful magnet for that and a tub that has a magnet on the bottom so that is less likely to happen
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
it sucked i would have had time to do the rear tonight if that hadn't happened

Topped off oil and coolant. Hot running 3.8L and ever so slight beginning of the dreaded collant leak. Luckily I have 142K and changed to glycol when the car was new, so just now needing to the gasket replacement.

Question for you guys, my friend has a disappearing coolant issue. Was thinking it was the gaskets but I always thought that the 2005 and up models got the metal gaskets. Any idea what could be going on? Besides the obvious. We changed the water pump Because it had and obvious leak and now the heat works sometimes. So any help?

LIM gaskets leaking anywhere? Coolant Elbows? Make sure you have a clear routing from the reserve tank to the radiator (I know Series 2 had a line that usually got snagged by the SC belt
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
Gonna take a more visual look today but the only Leak we had found was the water pump. I'll check that line as well.

Factory wires are perfectly fine until you need tons of insulation on them to tuck them around an IC etc.

I went through 6 sets of OmniSpark wires this year alone, fiberglass wraps on 4 of them as well. Swapped to Summit Racing 90* ends and now they sit too close to the head, probably gonna have to get a set with a 135* bend, the Summit wires look great though.
Re: What did you do to your Car today? Vol 2.0
I've never had a problem with these duralast wires touching anything. I warrantied them out once just after the cam swap just for kicks though.
