Apparently my Mom was out looking through car lots and found a GP that had a pinstripe coming to a point at an inset plate in the door that says Platinum. Never heard of anything like this...has anyone?

Maybe there was a Platinum Edition, I don't know. I do know that just about the only way a car gets pinstripes now is when a dealer thinks that makes last year's models more attractive on the lot. They can have a mobile guy come stripe a bunch of cars, and the mobile stripe guys picked up on the fact that dealers will pay for pinstripes with logos or generic words like platinum added somewhere along the stripe. They get the doodads cut at a sign shop for a dime apiece and just add them in and tag on five bucks, or something to that effect.

I absolutely HATE the pinstrips they put on these cars. Luckily the last 2 grand prix's I bought didn't have them. I think they take away from the look of the car.
