some say that rubber ring will seal it off. i got a gasket and used it as well. dry, no rtv. snug the two bolts up.

ok. yeah the view you see is the larger end. if you flip the o ring over, its tapered. I'm guessing tapered side goes down right? i think theres a gasket because i asked at the auto parts store and he said he didn't have one in stock so that mean it must have one

alright last question for this thread: i know the system hold "about" 3 gallons but that doesn't do me any good because the mix table on the bottle is in quarts. i saw online it holds 11.2 quarts then i saw 12.3 quarts. how many quarts does it hold so i can get a good mix cause i don't a rich coolant mixture

    It's true. We all learn

I was once on a forum where a girl joined..she just started college. Wanted to do a tune up. Most of the people on the forum said.. you can't do that, youre a girl. I took a moment and sent a brief pm outlining what she needed and how to do it. A couple months later she was changing her own water pump etc. It's about helping a person build some confidence. There's many things in life we can't do.. until someone shows us or we learn about it. Once that's done.. heck...what's to stop you?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
