    Actuially you have that backwards Scott. Stock is 35mm and replacements are 34mm.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    I just went took my tire off my 04 gp GT and got my sockets out so all u who think u know can be quite , btw those are after market just replaced c/v shafts

    04 GT2: 180 t-stat, cold air intake, reptile tune, plog, hv3, gt1 cam, 90#springs, new push rods, new lifters, port polished heads, lim, uim and tb, 06 Impala brakes and steel brake lines. Cosmetic: black roof rails, under glow, Pontiac ground light, blue hud dic radio controls and cluster. To come custom hood.

    You're absolutely right! I should have known that a 33 MM will fit on my 34 MM and larger axle nut! The point is that axle nuts on these cars can have a range to them and you should probably measure it before buying the socket for them.

    Totally N/A - Mods: 18" Mustang GT wheels, leather scented air fresheners, medallion hanging from rearview mirror, custom tool box holder in trunk, and air horns in place of the factory honkers.

    those are trans am, camaro, firebird brakes. (98-02) aka F body brakes.

    best damn up grade ever if you like to actually stop. the stock brakes are just so weak. i dont hot rod around town, nor am i even hard on my brakes. i just want brakes when i need em. these feel just like stock under normal driving, till you mash the pedal. and then you just stop, unlike them stock brakes.

    Measure yes and I just did it. factory 33 aftermarket 34. Why would there be different sizes for the same vehicle???? I know its a larger c/v for the s/c 04+ because I was sold the wrong one and there a larger diameter and those probably have a different size but its a n/a 04 just as mine if u go to big a socket it can slip get stuck side ways or just strip it. I don't know a damn thing about 97-03 I don't know about 04+ s/c but an 04 n/a I know enough to be right and helpful just trying to help

    i just looked at my pics of my winter wheels, looks like i can slip the socket into the nut wheel on. ill see wtf im using.

    why is a good question, maybe to spread the load on the wheel bearing better with a larger nut?

    We finished the brake job but we didn't tackle the passenger side wheel hub. I plan on swapping that out in the spring since the temperature will be above 5 degrees then. We didn't have the right tools to swap out the hub anyway or we would have tried to do it.


    Edit:
    I was surprised at how easy it was to do. I will never pay a mechanic to do a brake job again. I still have doubts that the hub replacement will go as smoothly.
