Well... since USPS didn't deliver my stuff on time to finishing my struts so I could put my other suspension parts in today. I'm pretty sure my tie rod ends need to be replaced and I figured why not order those too since I have to wait another week to do my suspension work. I saw mevotech tie rod ends for $12 and moog's are $31 and I really don't have that kind of money to spend on moogs right now.

My question is has anyone used mevotechs and had no trouble with them so far or should I fork out the extra $$$ for moogs?

I used the economy delcos off rockauto and they have been fine. I think they were like 10 bucks each or something. Been fine for 7 months now.

Scotty you really need to remember that not everyone has an Advance Auto.

But I am using the economy AC Delcos from Rock Auto on my car.

I put Mevotech tie-rod ends on my mom's Caliber. No issues at all. If I remember right Mevotech had the same part number as the Dorman's.

Advanced Auto is like AutoZone... over priced big time! Was just looking at Advanced Auto at Moog tie rod ends and they're $56.99 vs RockAuto's price at $31.79... Makes me hate local auto parts stores even more! >_< I also get 5% off everything on RockAuto so I think I will go towards rockauto for the mevotech's for now.

if you go to http://www.retailmenot.com/view/advanceautoparts.com theres tons of discount codes to use. lots of money off, i bet you can get the same moogs to the same price with no shipping costs. or damn near close to it. beats waiting if you cant wait.

if you look up advance locations, that car quest will be a store on the list. the one here was for a long time till they did the store re model.

and local warranty is KING in my book. i got one car, i cant be waiting to mail stuff back and fourth.

Nothing comes up under the search, the closest one is a 5.5 hour drive.

This is South Dakota, it took forever for our Champion Auto to be converted over to an O'reillys.
    - EDIT - I meant Checker Auto.

Yeah but you have to realize how much easier it is to warranty parts. Plus P20 takes 20% off. Add on shipping from rockauto and the price difference its probably 5 bucks or so even with 5% off on RA. Thats why i got my spark plugs and wires local, it turned into the same price in the end.

TRT30 takes 30% off at Advance.

That makes that 56.99 only 39.89. Then as mentioned you don't have shipping to worry about and if there is an issue that would require warranty you got an actual local store front to deal with.

I have bought and saved thousands of dollars worth of parts from Advance's website and picked up in store.

trust me tho. i do a fair amount of shopping around the net. if its something i can wait for and has no warranty like gaskets and such, ill buy on line if its cheaper.
