so thats your o2 extension? melted on the header at some point and taped up by the last owner?

it maybe best to make it longer and run it up the pass side. when my o2 was in the factory speed daddy location, i made a 3 foot extension.

being you can solder, what i did was to cut the plug off the car side harness, extended the wires to the plug. i ran it down the side of the strut tower then followed the rack to the o2 sensor.

the montie i took my headers off had a ton of room, but the o2 wires were still melted. when i got them in my car theres like no room to spare. this way the wires never come close to any real heat.

mine clear just fine. i use the wire holder on the front valve cover, and wire clips to keep them snug in the back and over the top of the sc.

bank one lean code? thats a vac leak most of the time. spray the vac lines down with carb cleaner, if the idle jumps up you found your leak. with a finger move the lines a bit while spraying if you dont find it right away.

spray the injectors at the head, the blower to lim, and the tb gasket.

if its a broken vac line it costs mere dollars to fix. check the vac T's also, they like to crack.

if it runs you can drive it, but id look for a vac leak, its cheap enough for a can of carb cleaner. vac line is like a buck a foot.

go to Harbor Freight get a volt meter. Replacing parts to fix a problem can bankrupt you.
