    I use a a small hand steamer I bought on ebay, then let it dry, then griots engine cleaner and steam it again then rinse with high pressure water. I wrap the alt in foil first.

    I have sold many cars without the buyer even bothering to look under the hood. And Every buyer except for maybe one or two did exactly what dino guy said.. "yup thats an engine.." No offense to eyelobes, just saying a lot of people do that, regardless of pricerange. Even had one guy buy without a test drive... lol

    years ago i my boss took me with him to buy a new van for his wife. as they are walking around the truck, my boss says i guess we should look under the hood, so the sales man popped the latch, my boss opened the hood, goes yup its got a engine and dropped the hood shut, we all just laughed lol its wa sa new truck, so its kinda silly he even looked. just going through the motions.
