I use a a small hand steamer I bought on ebay, then let it dry, then griots engine cleaner and steam it again then rinse with high pressure water. I wrap the alt in foil first.
Don't people open the engine compartment before buying a car?
You know? You're right. I must have completely overlooked over every single flawless car that was within my $1300 budget.
Let me answer your question with another. Why are so many so quick to judge a decision before they bother to understand the reason and circumstance behind it?
My comment wasn't intended to insult you eyelobes, so if it did my apologies. I was just trying to be funny.
But I agree with you, you buy what you can given your circumstances. Was in that boat before.

I have sold many cars without the buyer even bothering to look under the hood. And Every buyer except for maybe one or two did exactly what dino guy said.. "yup thats an engine.." No offense to eyelobes, just saying a lot of people do that, regardless of pricerange. Even had one guy buy without a test drive... lol
years ago i my boss took me with him to buy a new van for his wife. as they are walking around the truck, my boss says i guess we should look under the hood, so the sales man popped the latch, my boss opened the hood, goes yup its got a engine and dropped the hood shut, we all just laughed lol its wa sa new truck, so its kinda silly he even looked. just going through the motions.
