I think the HD isn't fluid filled...which is what you want.

    Solid rubber option FTW.

ZZP solid mounts aren't solid, they just have no air bubbles inside so you can't hear it when you shake it. If you drill them out, most "solid" mounts for that matter, you will still have hydraulic fluid come out.

Either run the hydraulic ones, or if you really want a solid mount/more reliable mount, just get the cheapest you can find and drill them out. Get as much fluid out as possible, and then fill them with black RTV and let them cure. Being that you're doing this soon I think, maybe just run the hydraulics and drill them later when you have time to let them cure? They'll squeeze out the RTV if they haven't cured long enough.

The whole solid rubber mount situation sucks, I've gotten so many "solid" mounts, only to find fluid in every one. Either I'm buying the wrong ones, or they're hard to come across.
For thine is the Cam, The Piston, and The Rod, Forever and ever (or until they break). Amen.

That was the write up I saw a while back as well,it said basically everything you just did.

I guess finding a completely solid mount is like seeing a unicorn drinking a beer...lol!...extremely hard to find like you said.

I ordered a solid trans and solid motor mount from RA and when they got here the motor mount was solid but the trans mount was not.

The RA was definitely the route I wanted to go,only reason I was looking at ZZP is because it would only be one day to receive at no extra cost......Ice you know my car has been down for a while now so I'm trying to cut time down as well as get things outta the way for when I am ready to do my rebuild.

Yea! That seems to be normal turn around time for the majority of MI depending on if the part is stocked in an outlying warehouse or something of that nature.....so did you go with the hd or a diff..... Version?

i just drilled a hole in each side, let it drain, then blew air through it till nothing more came out, then filled with a caulk gun, let sit 2 days or so iirc.

This is very true!....although,my only wait for installing my temp trans is the motor mount ....so,if I get one from the local parts store I am gonna wanna tear it apart ASAP.....I know that is really no excuse but I'm overly ready to drive my car.
