Found an 04 Comp G Car in the junkyard. sadly it had caught fire and burned the entire engine bay and started melting the dash. I'm sure the teflon coating on the rotors is shot and no engine parts are good. steering wheel had hot rubber drip on it so unless the paddle shifters can unbolt that's shot. Is there anything I should grab off this car or is everything good on it toast? I did get the little badge that says competition group off the trunk Not sure what to do with it.

    Poor Comp G

What are the extra functions on the 5 button? My cars got 138k on it and this one had 170k so thats kinda a big jump.

Do you think the heat from the fire would have damaged the front strut bar?

The heat shouldn't effect the strut bar other then cosmetically but the comp g's didn't come stock with one unless it was added on by the owner.

Hmm, idk it depends how toasty it looks it might have weakened or deformed slighty but idk how that stuff works. The rear bar would still be good I can't remember but I think they are beefier than stock.

Then your talking about the sway bar and not the strut bar then.. In that case bushing are probably burnt.. But the bar Itself should be fine. Obviously look it over. Comp g sways are comparable to gmpp so it's a upgrade if the price is right.

I would snag up the blower anyway, removing the coating off the rotors only makes you loose like 1-2 hp so I have been told.

Alright. Well I may grab the blower and LIM too and probably the heads. The blower casting didn't look like it melted. Hopefully the case didn't warp. Ill grab the sway bars for sure. I don't know why I said strut bars in my other post.
