Keep DDing the 02 until it rusts away. These cars are too easy to work on and its paid off.

Ill eventually pick up another 87 GN. This time wait it out and find a hard top with low miles that is unmolested...

i like it, too. i just don't like that they're gonna have some lame boosted four cylinder in it. a turbo (or twin) v6 to live up to the name would be the only option in my mind, regardless of development costs.

i also don't think i'll ever buy a car brand new off the lot, either. unless you plan to keep it forever you basically take a huge, huge loss on resale because you were the first owner. i'm over that.

that being said, i had my GP for 5 years and sold it to buy (settle) for another car that did me well for another 5 years. i'll never "settle" for another car again, which is why i most likely will never be back in a GP (or wbody in general). i'd drop $10k into it and it still wouldn't be what i wanted it to and i've accepted that.

you know bio I do agree with that the new national deserves a v6, I also have taken into consideration that deprecation of driving a car of the lot is a big hit, but in my defense I want something that will be more of the old man car while selling the gp and looking for something like a vette or at least ls powered car.

I had to completely replace the floorboards. Not to mention 3500 bucks on new stainless steel t top components.
Don't ask about the wind noise either. LOL

Clearly your exhaust wasn't loud enough.

But on the cereal, I agree, t top cars must be clean clean clean. But be prepared to pay for it.

I got nothing but trouble from the police because of the exhaust. LOL but cruising down the highway with the wind noise was nauseating.

Turbo blew and 4 lobes got wiped off the cam. Sold the car as a roller. Took the motor to a performance shop and was honed and checked over. I have everything sitting and waiting for my next project...

You can see there how nice the floors were. I have a ton of pics if anyone is interested.
Sorry to derail the thread! I'm done now.

NEVER plan on getting rid of my GP. Had new since 2000. Gonna keep it going much longer. Gonna keep this platform on life support.

Plus one of the few running 10 second GPs. Who knows how fast it will go once I change my fuel pump.

I LOVE driving it. Still turns heads and amazes people.
