I know this is a grand prix forum I just sold my grand prix and been on the forum for a while. But i just purchased a 1995 camaro v6 and i have an oil leak. It only leaks when i hit the accelerator. The leak is coming out of that black hole on the bottom left of the photo and also out of the black part of the top right bolt. I just have no idea what that black piece is. It looks like it connects to the transmission. If anyone knows how to fix this problem or what it is I would appreciate it. Thanks guys!

Thats just a shield for the flexplate/flywheel.

If it's leaking oil from there, you likely have a bad rear main seal or the rear cover gasket is leaking.

you can unbolt the cover and look up for oil. ( you'll need a flash light) it could be valve cover gaskets leaking down to that area too.

so the only way to fix it is to take the whole tranny out? theres no other way. Im going to try to buy real seal stop that you put in the oil. I heard good reviews from it. Im sure its not going to work lol

take a paper towel fold it up in quarters, then wipe under the valve cover lip. if its wet thats your leak.

check the easy fixes before dumping oil leak stop, or dropping the tranny out.
