A friend of mine had a 2003 Grand Prix GT sedan with sunvisors which had plastic rectangular extensions that slide out of the end. They appeared to be original equipment but I have not seen any like them since he sold that car. I have a 1999 GTP coupe and sure would like to find a pair of those for mine. It has the usual lighted mirror setup but no extenders. Anybody know what cars these came in so I can have better luck finding some?

Alright, Regals can have them too. Good to know! I use cabin air filters for an 03 GS, they don't list em for any GP but Regal ones go right in! I would wager that the mounting and connectors are the same on visors. If you get an easy opportunity to do so, I'd like a pic of one Scotty. Thanks

Three screws and one connector. The clip at the other end is just one screw but that part should stay the same. It might be part of an option package or something. Worked at a Buick dealer from 00-06 and I don't recall seeing them then but I was still living in rear wheel drive world and didn't care much.

How do you remove 1998 Buick regal sun visor?

In: Buick Regal, Buick Riviera [Edit categories]

    Answer:
If it is the same as the 2000 model, and i believe it is, then this is how you do it. Pull down on the visor to separate the plastic collar on the end of the visor shaft from the plastic retaining clip in your headliner. Then insert a straight bit screw driver into the notch in the plastic collar and turn the visor till the stopper on the shaft rests against your screwdriver. This will lock the plastic collar to the shaft coming from the sun visor. Then turn the entire thing a little more (about 1/4 of a turn). this will allow the visor and collar to come out of the retaining clip. then you have to use a screwdriver to pry the legs on the retaining clip so that it comes out of your headliner. That is it, it should all come out... hopefully not in too many pieces... oh and if you get mad like I did and just yank them out, it will cost you about $260 to fix....

I remember encountering those in my crash shop days, me no like. Well, I reckon thats why I'm here asking. I did have the same thought about pulling them off the stick. Maybe its like a 2002-3 feature, the ones I'm after.
