    3800 Engine
    K&N Air Filter
    Resonator delete
    Flowmaster Super 44
    X or Y W/Piping Chrome tips

Am I the only 1 that thinks that's a combonation for more of a V8ish sound

Yeah, dont waste your time with the Flowmaster's... Borla or Magnaflow, definitely keep the resonator.

I was always a fan of this vid. http://youtu.be/R5H5VetE_Yc

youll never make it sound like a v8 without an ls4 swap....you can make em sound great...but the 3800 only sounds good when you have lots of noises to accompany it....or it exhales through a turbine wheel...

the WhippledRiv had flowbastard 2 chambers and full 3" and loud doesn't even come close to describing it...not even a 36" long magnaflow truck muffler/resonator did little to quiet it down..it did reduce the drone.

he wishes he had spent more for the magnaflows...or anything quieter...with the flowmasters it was about 600$ in the exhaust. my other vids will show how much you probably don't wanna use em...

i have super 44s, i have had them for a few years now. i never go rid of the stock resonator and i dont have a problem with them. the biggest issue i see happen is people get rid of the res and have rasp and drone that cant be stood for too long. i take my car, when its running, on long trips with no noise related issues.

the other thing that is important to realize and come to terms with, its a v6, it will never sound like a v8, you will not make it a v8 by trying to fake the sound. so just embrace what you have, keep the res and own whatever you put on it

    not my car

the issue you get with all these exhaust vids is that the mic on the cameras dont really pic up the noise correct, i have noticed it with the vids i took of my car.

I'd personally go with any brand glasspack (or stock resonator) with some Borla brand mufflers, still my favorite 3800 exhaust tone to date.
