alright i got a list of some problems my car has, now depending on how much the cost is to fix them im debating whether or not to sell it and if its worth fixing the problems, here are the list of problems

-Radio Mutes random times, mostly when i hit a few bumps in a row and i cant unmute it or anything, assuming wiring problem, shouldnt be a big deal
-Steering wheel whistles when i turn it, not to sure whats up with that but also shouldnt be a expensive fix
-Wheels whistle/squeal when i back up or occasionally turn
-Chugging problem, car will chug and hessitate often, normally cold starts or if im turning the car off and on alot, to temporarily fix the problem i have to restart the car to fix it (could be tranny problem, could not, dunno)
-ABS, my cars breaks will lock when i hit a bump or go up on a driveway ramp and sometimes when i lightly break it will lock up, now if it locks up alot and does it few times in a row the ABS and TC light will go on, thus resolving the problem, but it comes back when i shut the car off
-Few cosmetic damages but nothing to major at all, just paint scrapes and chips
-Now if i floored the car on the highway it will sometimes lose some power, then kick back in again (only if i floor it)
-Gas mileage is horrible for a close to stock N/a, it reading 15.9, now either a sensor is ****ed up or i have something wrong somewhere

pretty sure thats all for now, but assuming the worst for all these problems and it ends up costing more than 2k to fix (which i don't have), especially if my chugging problem involves my tranny, use think its worth keeping for a while longer and fixing it up over time? its still a good car and i still love it, relatively low mileage (88,XXX) or should i try to sell the car, and try to at least pocket 1-2k and use that as cushion money for the next car i buy (im financing the car and owe about 7,000 left, give or take) just want ur guys opinion on what i should do, btw my 2 year or 100k power train warranty is up, owned the car for 2 1/2 years now

As it sits you're not going to get much out of it either way. It sounds like most of your problems are electrical, so I would fix those first. Stop flooring it, thats why your mpgs suck, and why its running poorly.

Do the math manually, and see if it's different. Odds are that whatever is shorting out is causing the speed sensor to misread. I was seeing 19.9 mpgs on my 05 base model.

Not to mention that gas is probably still on winter blend.

Fix your issues then go from there as it sit your not going to get much for it and it doesn't help that you still owe 7k on it. It's a old car things break..fix it and keep on trucking.

Sell it. My car has the same chugging issue (05 N/A) trans is new from TEP so I doubt mine is trans related. New ICM did not fix the issue. Mine also is going through oil too. Debating on getting rid of ours and buying another minivan.....yes i said minivan! Come at me.......

yea ill chip away at the cheap problems first, if the chugging problem is trans related i really wont have much of a choice but to sell it, that will run me a big penny, whats a few things that would cause the bad gas mileage tho?

My 05 n/a does the same thing and when I turn it off and back on it will be fine again. Joe said he has new trans and still does the same so maybe its a PCM issue? You could do a tune up on the car as well which will most like help improve MPG. I was getting roughly 19-21 MPG during summer weather but right now with this cold i'm getting between 15-17 MPG. I don't think you'll get what you owe on the car if you were to sell it. I would say find the electrical problems and fix them! Maybe take it to a shop to see if they can find out what the problem is so you can either fix it yourself or have them.

fixing anything myself is prolly not going to happen, i dont have the proper tools or anything to do so, and cold heat warm wheather its all the same MPG reading, have not changed the pcv and i always planned on getting overkill PCM, i could look into getting a tune up, only thing with taking it to a shop is they will charge like 200 dollars just to look at everything (money i dont have) although i could use some of the income tax money on it but id rather use it to get these problems fixed, the way its lookin is i prolly wont sell the car i guess, but im sure i could find someone that would buy this car for 7 8g, cause i bought it for 11700 (before i knew about GP's) so there will be someone out there that was just like me that bought the car, plus the kelly BB value of it at the time was 12500 i belive

It's funny when this question comes up... What do I do? Do I sell? Etc...

When the answer is known already! It's cheaper to deal with KNOWN problems, then junk it, take more $ anyway buying a new/used car that'll have it own set of issues. Maybe, just maybe you buy that one rarity that'll drive another 100k with only oil changes. But really, IMO, its always easier to just fix what's wrong and enjoy the ride. If you're willing to do the work yourself, then the cost factor is even smaller. Socket set is minimal investment, try harbor freight! Tune up would cost next to nothing if you do it yourself. Sea foam, Oil change, new plugs, wires, clean map, maf, new PVC, air filter, fuel filter, tranny pan drop and filter, flush cooling sys, with buying tools... $300+/- depending on where you buy everything. Google & you tube to show you the way!

    good luck!

^You should be able to do these things yourself - see what is fixed. Almost everything you need to know can be found on here or the youtubes.

Except for maybe the fuel filter; I'm not sure where that is on the later generations including my '08.

The most you'll get i believe is maybe 6000 or something like that, value is not too much on these. Im also having hesitation issues and worried about the transmission. I haven't done a maintenance yet for the trany. I was thinking of putting it up for 6k for 2004 gtp comp g everything included with 101k original miles.

once i get my income tax i will do the tune up if needed, alrdy did the pan drop fluid change, did seafoam and cleaned MAF, 0 results, im sure there will be some person out there that would buy this for 7 8k, cause i was a sucker and bought this for 11700, obviously if i tried to sell this on the forum i would not get anywere close to 8k for it lol, i did replace the fuel filter a while back and cleaned the TB, gas mileage still poop, just hoping that the chugging problem isnt anything to seriouse, seems like everyone on here that has this problem has 0 idea what it is and never finds out =\
