Last week, I had to have my car jumped. No big deal but the guy who jumped it made a remark about my starter. I drove home not thinking much about it, but when I got home, the car would not stop running even after turning off with the key. When I shifted into park or neutral, there was a hell of a squeal. I tried to turn off the car several times and then decided to take it to my mechanic. When I got there, I was able to turn off the car and everything appeared fine. No squeal in neutral or park. I came back home and parked the car. Then we had a cold snap and I didn't start the car for about a week. Sure enough, the battery drained and when my sons jumped the car, the same thing happened. Fina;lly my son shifted to drive and I've not started it since. Any bideas on what would cause this. My initial though is that the starter/bendix stayed engauged and was back feeding the system to allow it to run with the key off. Please let me know if this has happened to anyone else. Thank You, Dosperros
