id just flush one hose till coolant or water comes out the other, then put the hoses back on as full of water as you can. why put a hose back on thats full of air already right?

try bleeding the t stat housing. you may have some air trapped in the lim as well.

you can also touch both heater core hoses after its warmed up good. if both are hot you fixed it.
if one is hot, one cold, its not pumping still for some reason.
these hoses can get damn hot, dont get burned. do the quick touch test first.

I did touch the hoses when I flushed it, both hose didn't get no where near hot to the touch.

car has to get up in temps for then to get real hot like they should be.
what temp t stat you running? being up north there you should be running a 195.

How can I tell what temp it's running at. Does it say on the console?

your temp gauge on the dash should tell you. when its like 2 or 3 lines from red thats your normal area on most gp's, in america, i dont do metric well lol
my regal needle is one line under the 1/2 way mark, thats about 200 degrees.

if you have a torque app it will tell you the temp as well in digital read out, so you know exactly whats its reading vs lines on a gauge in the dash.
like so, this was a real hot day parked with the a/c on full blast. love that 158 intake temp lol

Change out the thermostat also. They are cheap, only two bolts and make sure to get a 195F one instead of 212F.

Gotcha, what temperature is the air coming out of the vents? I just checked mine at 90F on a 22F degree day, after sitting for a half hour cooling down and then starting back up for about 5 minutes, this is with fan on about halfway, temp all the way up, recirc on and the position was full on vents.

if a shop changed it see if it says what temp they used on the receipt. if its a 180 that can keep your temps pretty low in winter time.
195 is stock. i dont think anyone sells a 212 lol a 195 lets the engine run around 200 to 210 ish, where gm wants its it to run. your hi speed fan setting is 212 too.

Really, mine came stock with a 212F one. Well It was built in Canada, so maybe it was a mixup with a cold weather equipped car. Who knows? It currently is running a 195F and couldn't be happier. I get blow dryer type heat in about 10 minutes even at the -0F temperatures Dreary Erie is famous for.

Will take a reading on the torque app and I will also check the temperature inside after I drive to work tomorrow, it's a good 25mins drive.

I gave it another flush and actual small rocks came out of the hose, I let the car run and the heat seems a lot hotter. Here is the torque app result
