    that is inexpensive but you get what you pay for.
    go to autoenginuity.com.. This system will won't leave you lacking. click on the gm family. You can buy only what you need and expand to other brands at any date. for $230 it will do all you want plus
    ABS Automated Bleed Routine (ProLine Connector)
    Crank Variation Learn (click here for supported vehicles)
    Injector Flow Rate Programming (CAN-based Diesels)
    Key Fob Programming (click here for supported vehicles)
    SDM Setup and Part Number Programming (click here for supported vehicles)

    yeah, sounds like a good idea. I'm probably going to go with that. looks like there's a lot of stuff that i wouldn't even use right now but more options are better than less.

    I know this is an old thread but even if i buy the enhanced GM-family package on top of this scanner, it will NOT read Grand Prix ABS. they said that they still cant figure out how to read the codes, so I'm a little ****ed for that.

    I'm surprized by that. This is a cut and paste from the gm portion of the site..."Our enhanced GM interface supports 6,400+ sensors selected from the engine, transmission, body, and chassis systems".

    Abs is under chassis.
    Launch has a new scan tool out for $350 that does powertrain, abs and airbag

    Yeah, it kind of sucks that they can't read the Grand Prix's. I may have to look at that. I gotta fix up my Comp G.

    It reads abs and air bag codes. It was like $80 on Amazon

    That is a good price and otc is a very good brand. they make the gm oem factory scan tool so its would be a good choice for gm products.

    I bought this reader and it's amazing... I'm so blown away by how much this thing can do. And for a **** tonne of models as well.
