Hello I drive a 2002 Grand Prix gtp and it blows hot on settings 1 through 4 but if I set it to 5 nothing happens (like it's set to OFF). Same thing happens with the AC.

Blower motor Resistor under the dash most likely. About $75 when I replaced mine.

Are you sure? ^ Usually it's the resistor if it blows on 5 only.
I have seen it blow on 1-4 but not 5 before. It's a likely possibility.

Only reason I say is because we had a MC come into my work one day with this issue, and out of curiosity my manager metered everything out (we aren't supposed to work on cars necessarily), and tried a new blower motor too, ended up being the resistor. Opposite of how it normally fails, yes, but it is possible.

Right, you still had 5 though. It's when you don't have 5, but have lower speeds is where I was starting to wonder.
Sure, unless you have a way of testing it first, that's always a good idea to save money so you don't buy unneeded parts.
That, or a faulty ignition.
