Hey guys, I googled searched for some ZZP Dyno tune reviews and experiences. Most of it was the Cobalt guys. I'm planning on taking mine there soon to get the PCM up to date and the car running more smoothly. Does anyone have any experience with their Dyno tunes? I know street tunes better, but I shot myself in the foot with Paul at PRJ for cancelling a few times due to weather, personal stuff, and new car crap that I had to deal with.

I swear ZZP doesn't care much about the L67 guys any more. They're all about those Cobalts.

They're already seem to established the 3800 market for a long time now, I can see why they're moving on to gathering more of the cobalt crowd as well as the Cruze's/Sonic. Either way, I doubt just cause of that that they'd hinder their tuning abilities with the 3800 since that's where they've started and been in business with still. Just opening their horizons in the market.

Oh I'm not saying they're bad, it just seems like they tired out of the 3800 market and have moved on to the turbo ecotecs. Not that it's a bad thing, because I love the Cobalt, I'm just saying.

Ya I understand what you were saying. I'm starting to like the cobalts as well. But ya, if anyone has some experience with them I'd love to hear any inputs.

Street tune isn't really better than dyno tune. Especially on a narrow band. Best situation technically is dyno tune then street tune... Also there is nothing wrong with ZZP's dyno tune however don't get too excited about the numbers you'll put down on their dyno. It is a pretty good value though, especially if you already have their file and require a proper tune.

Alright thanks for the input. Ya I've read that ZZP doesn't push for power when tuning, just for conservative settings. Truthfully thats all I want, nothing overkill. Just want things to be more dialed in.

I've drove to them twice to get a base tune after mods were done. Had a great experience. Matt did a great job with my GP. You would not go wrong if you went to them

The reason they are and have veered away from the 3800 scene is because it's pretty much dying. Hardly anyone is buying new mods from venders. Most parts are bought from other members cause those members are selling and parting out and also getting out of the 3800 scene. It's sad.

If they wouldn't have dragged their ass on the transmission chain development more people would have stuck around people just don't want to spend huge dollars on a chain that doesn't last esp. on turbo cars. A lot of people seem to be breaking shafts now because power is getting to be easier and easier yet not much has been out for these transmissions unless you want to spend 6k on it and have a bulletproof one and even then good luck sourcing the parts. Just my 2cents,

Ya makes sense. Thanks for the insight though, that's good to hear. Ill have to go up there as soon as this coolant leak is fixed. Unless they don't mind coolant dripping on their floors lol
