So when im cruising at a relatively high speed or if im on the highway around 25-2700rpms, they will jerk slightly and it will jerk the car almost like the engine is failing for half a second, it will do it a couple times slowly or a little more times faster, my friend said it could be since i have a K&N CAI, it would be dirt getting sucked in and hitting the MAF and causing the jerk but I'm not sure about that, maybe? and another guy said it was the torque converter, but my thought is it needs new fluid in the tranny, any other diagnosis's? thanks guys

Clean the MAF first. Might be dirty.

The torque converter still might be the cause, kinda just guessing right now though.

I have already cleaned MAF, and the rpm's jerk down like 100 and go back up within a second but it occurs more than once, my buddy said it might be fuel related

I've seen it be a bunch of things. Downside is you can't pinpoint anything. Before you blame trans etc, shotgun coils and icm at it as well as cleaning the maf etc.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

This is kind of a hard question to answer but her you seen many people with this same problem being transmission related?

my regal was having the rpm's jump around, in 3 rd gear only, and at 30 to 40 mph at light throttle only. a month later i lost 3 rd gear.

And my Regal was jumping 1k every so often, oddly upward as if 4th gear was kicking out. Ended up being a coil pack. More than you'd expect the issue is ignition related (tb, maf, wires, plugs, coils) than trans.

Not sure about you, it's much easier for me to shotgun some ignition stuff than swap a trans.
