    Hey guys, I'm lead to believe my TCC solenoid is going bad. The car bogs down when it engages, timing drops by 5-7*, exhaust not depends/grumbles, and vibrates alot. I think it's also bad most importantly because it really likes to slam into engagement. I can be accelerating at 30
    mph or 45 mph and it will drop over 1,500 rpms pretty harsh into TCC lock. Accelerating is near impossible when its engaged and my timing can go to the teens easy with a little push of the accelerator. Only way around it is to have a light foot or disengage it and rev the engine up to accelerate before it slams back in.

    How will this ultimately effect the transmission? Sorry for the long post, feeling out of it n tired at the moment but it was on my mind.

    If this needs to be moved or is unclear to anyone, let me know. Trying to figure out more about this issue and what can happen cause of it.

    Mine pretty much does the same. I just keep driving it.

    Same. I thought it was maybe a bad circuit or wiring causing the TC to lock prematurely and is hard to break through. I can easily drop my timing from 23* when it locks down to around 10*'s before it unlocks and revs up to 2,500-3k. Only then do I gain my timing back. Not sure how much damage this can cause

    I got the same issue but not as severe. There is a testing procedure to determine what part of the system is screwing up. I'll try to find the link for you and post.
    like dsmuts I have been ignoring it too, but makes me feel like I'm driving a pos.

    I might disconnect the TCC solenoid if I can. iIRC I read its on top of the trans under the air box for the intake. I also think it maybe be fr ZZP's tune and some settings they've might've altered? Unsure.

    Mine acts up badly.. Sometimes even causes KR. Either have your tune adjusted or have it replaced.

    Ya ill have to just keep driving accordingly to get around it. Ill have Paul look at the trans settings and see if anything could be changed or if its indeed a mechanical problem.

    Chances are its a mechanical problem. A couple hours of home diagnostics will tell you for sure.

    Even if it is a mech problem, they can adjust the point at which the TCC unlocks and it will help/correct the chugging.
