So to start my car is a complete dickhead... Blueguy might say because its blue... Dunno. Anyway...
Basically I have multiple weird issues still with my car. Some include:
-Remote start doesnt work. You hit it and it will start... then stall... start... then stall. Infinitely till you hit the brake to stop its retardedness. This has been that way for a long time. I dont drive it in the winter so I just said f' it.
-Car electrics shut off with engine. You turn the car off and the stereo and aeroforce guage immediatelly shut off, instead of when the door opens. Turning to accessory works fine and the interior lights still come on.
-When its cold/warm its awesome, when its hot/heatsoaked/running for awhile its ****. Basically when its cold to normalish temp with less than 10-15 mins of run-time its got normal LTFTs and runs absolutely great. Get stuck in traffic for 15 mins with the AC on (enough to get it up to 190-200F for awhile), aka enough time for the whole engine bay to be heatsoaked and you get the following:
-16.4 LTFT idle and Cruise. Usually goes negative when applying throttle.
-Heavy smell of gas coming through the air vents
-Slow as balls
-Aeroforce weirdness. It wont update data sometimes (I went 0-60ish WOT and before it was 10.9 LTFT and 0 KR and all the way up to 60 it stayed the same). It also at one point completely turned off and I had to unplug and reconnect it.
-When its in full retard mode, the rpm guage also tends to go ape**** crazy when you turn the car off. Like jumping all the way over to like 10k rpm. (somethin weird with the guage?)
So ive got all these issues. No one can seem to find a vac leak and ive checked alot myself. Other than taking the supercharger off and trying to reseal it for ****s and giggles theres not much more to do for checking that. All vac lines are new and sealed with zip ties (and no egr or evap). If it was the seal somehow to my intercooler and supercharger I'd just get that fixed when I do my heads later on...
Here's the thing. A lot of these seem like electrical issues. Perhaps they're all related. Maybe the PCM is trying to add fuel for no reason and its just getting flooded. The other thing is...
About 2 years ago I had a wire fire in the dash. Apparently whoever wired the Viper alarm/remote start system (before I bought the car) wired it stupidly and it caused a fire. Now when this happend it was at a terrible time because I had somewhere I had to be so a friend of mine basically repaired everything without replacing the harness. Which included basically ALL the wires from the far left side of the dash to near the CD player. They were all burned and melted n' ****. So he fixed all that by hand... This worked fine for like 2 years... but now im wondering if it wasn't quite good enough and ive got more issues back there....
SO basically im wondering if it seems logical that my next step would be to replace my wiring harnesses, and if so should I also replace the engine compartment one and the PCM? Secondly... where can I get that stuff without paying a fortune? Anyone know someone who has those for sale or anything? I mean the PCM I can get from ZZP for 35 bucks but I dont know where to easily get the wiring harnesses without paying a fortune.
