Maybe that's what I was thinking about. All I remember hearing is that with a manual swap, unless you reinforce pretty much everything, you're not going to be able to safely make over 300hp or so.Quote:

I don't care who you are. You can't out shift an automatic. For drag racing purposes its the way to go. Doing a manual swap on these cars is absolutely pointless IMO. I'd rather spend that money and time making the car go faster. Which in reality won't be that hard to do and will be much faster than your Vette.

Driving a manual properly is a given. If you cant drive one and cant learn, you shouldn't have the car. Clutch is going to have to be done. Every manual has to have them done eventually. I think auto trannies beat on the engines harder with constant unwanted shifting. Especially if the tranny isn't working right it can beat the crap out of the motor.Quote:

manual tranny is for fun only in my book. gets pretty old after a few years too. my first few cars were all stick. and 2 trucks. i dont miss them, especially when snow plowing.
