Was wondering if anyone knows of ways to do cheap mods to give me GP a little more horse?

I added L67 TB, HV3, and 1.9 rockers. Rockers were most expensive. Oh yeah, and a tune.

Mine is a 2005 GP that I forgot to mention -_- So it would have to be L32 TB.... I wish I could afford a turbo but im more looking at cheap easy gains of HP!

I did the following (2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT 3.8 NA:
NGK IX Iridium Spark Plugs TR55IX $72.00
    HV3 Intake Insert $200.00
ER (Extended Ratio) Rocker Arms (wanted more torque vs higher HP) $300.00
    ZZ U-Bend Delete $78.00
TAY-38025 Taylor Helix Power Tower Plus Throttle Body Spacer $146.00
    K&N 57 Series Air Intake $240.00
All costs are landed in Canada (shipping and handling would be less in USA).
Only the Throttle Body Spacer and K&N Air Intake were self installed but all are doable if you have the tools and garage to do them in.
Net results were likely 25 HP, 30 Torque and 1.5 MPG gain in gas mileage ( the Horse power/Torque) has not been Dyno tested)

How much does a custom tune usually cost and what does it do to the car? Sorry never really looked into these kinda things until I got my car! I looked on the K&N site and they have it saying I could get about "16.78 HP @ 5248 RPM"but not sure if they mean S/C or standard..

K&n is a waste of money. They over exaggerate quite a bit too

You can buy reprogram through ZZP, Intense, Milzy for about $100. Or you can Dyno and Tune at local shop. I normally see this in our area for $200-$500.

I also put 180 thermostat with cooler plugs. Being in Iowa, I didn't notice a big difference in heat in winter.

This. Make your own and save money. Only reason I have one is because I bought it for the low and at the time didn't have the time to make my own. However it will be getting swapped on soon.
Squirrels are my engine. I need a Ford Regal
