How do you remove the dog-bone bracket on the head on the left side? The one on the right is pretty straightforward, but I've removed two bolts from the left one and it won't budge.

the icm harness has a 8 mm bolt iirc that holds the plug on, and the tensioner needs to also come off. there is also a black ground wire from the icm, its bolted down with the bracket, dont forget to hook it back up.

    you'll need a deep 13 mm, a shallow 15 mm, and a 15 mm wrench and a 8 mm socket.

98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

I may or may not have winged it with a series of adjustable wrenches, vise grips, and other tools.

Let's just say it's off of there now.

I like the part that you didn't tell us which of the two available brackets you have.

Do you have cast iron or aluminum?
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

These bastards are nice and heavy, so I'm gonna go with cast iron, but it doesn't matter since they're both off and the head is off the car now.

    Thanks for the response, though.

Well.. the passenger side is one of the two..and the aluminum isn't heavy, however the driverside one is aluminum and light.

Look Bill, I'm not some fancy metal scientist. I'll leave this one up the people who actually know what they're doing.
