Hi everyone, Is there any place that will rent tools and work space or maybe a lift for you to work on your own cars in Socal near Los Angeles or San Gabriel? I'm looking for a place like that to make working on my car easier. Any info would be very helpful.

An army base near me has a shop that you can work on your own car in with all the equipment, not sure if any like that are around you.

That would be a great business venture. Just as there are DIY in-bay car washes, there ought to be drive in DIY auto shops with lifts. Rent a bay by the hour and do your own work.

I bet the insurance costs would be astronomical.

I have a place I can go to if I need and use the lift for a weekend, even use the dealer plate for a couple hours.. But I know the owner.

I enjoy the On Post DIY shops very much. I used a lift, tire machine, and balance for $8 on Sat. Would be cool to see something for the general public like the post shop.

I visited this place last week called Your Dream Garage DIY Garage in Baldwin Park. I was pretty impressed that this place got big space and fully loaded with tools. It is super clean too. Definitely highly recommended those of you who like to work on your own cars to visit this place some times.
