Ok my engine is getting swapped this weekend and I have a few questions.

    First
The 99 gtp engine is going into a 98 gt body.

As I've read its a direct swap.

What should I take from the gtp that the gt doesn't have?

Also the gt body has gas in it. I'm guessing its regular gas. How can I remove the gas to ensure it doesn't get into the gtp engine?

    Thanks guys.

I'm guessing the GT doesn't come with HUD? If it doesn't I would swap that for sure. I

Which HUD, the boost HUD? what about the wiring harness, is it direct or what, because I was about to type this in. I'm swapping my GT motor for a GTP motor and I know I need a PCM tune but what else? Is it any hard wiring thats needed?

Being a regular member I wanna swat you for not searching...

Keeping the GT trans or GTP?
    Gt - swap flex plates
change over map connector, solder same colors to same colors
remember to have teh speed relay circuit code removed from the tune.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Lol your right but was looking and I didn't find to much. The entire engine and transmission is coming out of my gtp and going into the ground because it has a blown engine

Gonna bury it up to the charger?

    Ok engine and trans..
Follow the how to pull both at once thread to pull both cars apart
Drop it into the new car whole, put in the axles, hook up the wiring and swap the map connector.. pcm tune and off you go.

    Two choices..
Rig up a relay to stay on and pump it out with the pump via the fuel line
Or.. pull the pump and pump it out by hand.

Or.. option C..cause there's always an option C
Leave it.. add torco or tolulene/xylene and boost up the octane

I'm lazy.. you know you are gonna let it idle forever and then probably go straight to a gas station .. along with being super nice
I'd do option D.. be nice and just use it up while mixing in some 93 for good measure.

BTW, for more room to clear the trans past the master cylinder. Unbolt the two 15mm's that hold the master to the booster and lay it over next to the strut. The hoses will reach.
