    2006 Grand Prix

As I have mentioned in my introduction post, I have had my check engine light on since I purchased my car (15+ months.) Although the light has been on for quite some time there are no real running concerns.
After scanning the system there were multiple codes found:
    P0128 Thermostat
    P0411 Air System Incorrect Flow
    P0455 Large Evaportive Leak

    RECOMMENDED:
    -replace the thermostat
-replace the purge solenoid (not holding vacuum)
    -replace vent solenoid (stuck open)
-replace the air injection reaction solenoid

    PART LABOR
    THERMOSTAT- ………………………………………..$15 .44 ……………………......$75.20
    PURGE SOLENOID-…………………………………...$59.68 …………………......…$47.00
    VENT SOLENOID-……………………………………..$74.30 ………………......…..$56.40
    AIR INJECTION REACTION SOLENOID- …..$335.14 ………………........ $56.40
    ESTIMATED TOTAL: $974.00
“NOTE: the SES light has been on for more than a year and the vehicle has to go through its own self test before test can be taken.”

I have a car guy so obviously I’m not going to sell my soul to Conrad’s to repair my car. My estimate from my car guy is $300-$500.
Currently, I am a college student so finance is a concern. I would really appreciate it if you guys could give me your comments and or suggestions. My desire is to try to fix it all at once, but that may not be an option. So, what do you guys think I should prioritize?

    Thank you Thank you!

    -Amy

buy a new t stat, and then hit a junk yard for the rest of the parts, watch that list go to under 50 bucks, all easy stuff to fix, no special tools needed.

to remove the cover locate your oil spout towards the front of the engine, twist it to one side pull out and then you can remove the cover for a better view...

Ok.. so the way to get the big ole cover off..is right up in the front of it, the oil cap..turn the cap and piece below it counter clockwise then lift and it'll let the cover come off.

Sorry..but another picture would be great.
