    YAY, single walled flex pipe.

    Exactly why I chopped mine out and had a 3in doubled walled ZZP flex welded in its place.

    Ill probably just get a double wall Magnaflow from the local muffler place and have them weld it together. I really hope this wasn't a factor in my chipped piston

    Good point I never thought that could be a potential problem. The Zzp one is designed very well I have one sitting in my shelf but if the local guys have them might as well go that route.

    That piston was the first thing I thought of when I saw that.
    2005 Grand Prix GTP CompG. Overkill PCM, ZZP S2 I/C, ZZP MPS W/ 3.3" pulley, 1.9 YT rockers, 42.5# injectors, Moroso wires and AL104 plugs, 180 Thermostat, LS4 MAF.
    Front PLOG, Rear PLOG, crossover, all ceramic coated. ZZP 3" Downpipe and 3" exhaust pipes with Borla S-Type mufflers.

    Run all poly mounts and don't run a flex. Easy enough.

    Wow, same thing that happens if you use the Speed Daddy flex.
    Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
    Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
    Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

    My SLP flex crapped the bed about two months ago. I had a shop buddy cut and re-weld a ZZP one in it's place. Looks wicked Noice and no more ticking noise either.
    - Ed - 2000 Grand Poverty Daytona edition. Rough idle. Funny whistle. Steering issues at WOT. 3.8 SC pulley.
