Thread: Perf Shift not working

So on my 98 grand prix the perf shift won't activate. The button is pushed and the light won't come on and it won't shift like it is in perf shift mode. It only works sometimes but now more than not. Any ideas on what is wrong and how expensive it will be to fix?

Your button could be going bad or the wire came unhooked under the console.
