Its quite cold out and my car has sat for 2 months in the cold and the gas is from november. And I just put a pcm in from my 99 into this as I swapped its engine into my 2000. What do you think is wrong? It will crank slowly even when you boost the battery but just will not start. It crank slow. I have another battery that is charged and has been kept inside. Should I just use that battery? Please someone help. I'm ready to give up..

Slow crank and cold. Hmm, sounds like a dead/dying battery that cannot supply the proper amount of CCA's to spin it over. I'd slap a new good battery in it and make sure all connections are clean and tight at the battery, and check the ground at the trans. bellhousing since you just swapped motors. Might have missed one.

Once you swap the battery and it cranks fast. You may need to relearn the key.

The grounds should be on one of the bolts that are on the transmission. If you pop the hood and face the motor, look down under the exhaust crossover where the trans. meets the engine block and follow it down. Somewhere down there is a stud that should have some black ground cables attached to it. I can't find a pic so if you really need it I can take a pic of the grounds my 00 GT and put it up here for you.

Below is the pic of the location of the engine grounds. Circled in yellow. Just click on the pic to enlarge it.

Gas should still be good. My 74 MG sits in storage for about 7-8 months a year and it fires right up with the old gas in it. If in doubt just shove a bottle of Heet in it and then some fresh gas. Should take any moisture out of it. The lower the tank when it sits that long, the more moisture it can accumulate.

I don't know much about the OBD 2 or what will interchange with what but isn't the pcm programmed with the VIN in it? And if so couldn't that be the issue if nothing else hasn't worked?
