So have a 1998 GTP coupe been secretly working on for a year now. Started it up the other day went to us the washer fluid and nothing happened. No wipers, fluid nothing. Checked relays ,fuses, wiring, and connections and all was good. So I figured wiper motor as the switch seems nice and tight still and clicks well. Well today I get in snow on the window and I hit the wiper switch and poof they work!!!!!!

Now I'm not one to complain but whatever this demon is I hope it stays gone. I feel like this is a don't ask situation and now they are working I might just want to leave it alone and not go snooping. Only thing I did was install HID's yesterday never touched anything for the wipers.

    Wouldn't know..I'm bald.

I would chaulk it up as technical difficulty. You said the car sat...switch contacts may have been sticky, relay may not have clicked closed. Who knows. Smile and press it occasionally. If it works.. great.

Yea im not going to question it I am happy it saved me 25 dollars and a trip to the junk yard. Knowing my luck it will go out during a bad rain storm doing 75 on the highway.

Saw a neon that fixed the issue with good old string. Literally there was a rope tied to each wiper that was in both windows. Roll down the two front windows and manually actuate them.

the secret on that trick is, the wiper transmission needs to be broken from the arm on the wiper motor, or they dont move. the nub on the arm wore out, and the plastic ring for the wiper tranny arm broke.
