Is this a good deal for $800? Needs the carb rebuilt and brakes bled.

I wonder if '69 SJ's with the 428 and automatic are worth anything..

Good point, good point. Can't be any market for a nearly rust free straight clean original unmolested '69 SJ 428 HO. I'm sure there's plenty around to decrease the value.

Looks like a nice project. I would go for it.
Goldie 98 Topaz Gold GTP (retired)/ Shadow 06 GTO 6.0 Phantom Black Metallic- traded in. Now cruising a 2005 GMC Sierra 2500 HD 4x4 with the always fun 6.0L

Could be a nice project for sure. Being the H.O it got the 390hp version of the 428. If you can verify that it's truly a numbers matching HO and whatever other options it has ( I see remanents of the Cordova top) then I'd snag it for sure. Looks like the exterior was that dark green color. Question is, what does the underside look like? Sitting in grass like that doesn't always bode well for the undercarriage.

I can see this painted a dark green or even black with stainless exhaust system and just cruise around town. That classic v-8 rumble would be so good
