What would be the best paint to use to paint the "Grand Prix GT" on the side of my car? I want it to look like a glossy black color instead of the Midnight Blue blending in with the rest of the car. I also want to remove the "Grand Prix" lettering on the back of the car since part of it is chipped and I don't like the way it looks. What is the best way to do that without leaving behind a mark/hurting the car. And finally I have seen some people paint the back part near the exhaust where it says Pontiac. What is the best paint to paint that if I wanted red lettering with the rest of it being black.

Fishing line up and down in a sawing motion behind any badges/lettering to remove them.
Goo Gone to remove the residue left behind.
You won't notice anything else left behind, unless your paint is faded, only one way to find out really, remove one and see how it looks.

    Vinyl all the way!

for what you want the decals can be made custom and precise. Unless you work in a body shop (doubtful since you're asking) I wouldn't bother with painting lettering on a car. If you change your mind or hate the way it looks later, you have to sand if off and start back over, vinyl peels off somewhat easily.
