Hey guys looking for some opinions on changing from my stock mufflers...I am currently catless and have the resonator deleted and I am thinking about adding a resonator and changing to some magnaflow knockoffs or dynomax/thrush turbo's...any thoughts for or against?

In my opinion, any v6 car does not sound good with exhaust. Really only 4 bangers with a fart can, or a v8 sounds good. It is annoying with a v6

I have cheap turbo mufflers, nice rumble and does not overpower the whine. Glad I put the resonator back on, it was nasty without it.

you are obviously not familiar with nissan's VQ series v6, best sounding 6's out there, wicked sounding.

to OP, rasonator and a set of SLP loudmouth mufflers, or the magnoflows, if you really want a smooth tone, APEXi WS2 mufflers, they are pricy though.

Yeah I am not looking for anything really loud...stock mufflers really aren't horrible just wish they where a little throatier...res delete just made them really raspy

They are noticeably louder than the stock muffler, at cruising speeds of 30-45 MPH there is drone, but not enough to drown out my stereo. At WOT they go quiet and the whine takes over LOL. Basically get what you like and can afford. I don't know how many videos I listened to before finally choosing.

ive seen gp's with no mufflers but keeping the res and everything else, they seemed to sound good. they were throatier and louder but not raspy.

Im getting thrush mufflers too. Heard a few clips on youtube and seems like the right muffler, something a bit louder then stock specially at idle but not crazy like flowmaster.

Got thrust mufflers + Magnaflow glasspack as a resonator on my 2000 L67, I like the sound. But it drones a bit going 60.

You could always get a glasspack for a resonator and I have two Borla xs.
